If so, you should make sure to run them on a regularly. Anti-virus programs should be run at least once a week, especially if you spend a lot of time on the web. If your PC is still slow, you want to consider defragging it. When files are saved to your hard drive, the computer often fragments them, putting several parts of the files in different places. After a while this creates a bit of a mess and slows down the PC as it has to run all over the place looking for all the parts of a file to open it up. When you defrag a PC, you are essentially collecting all of the parts and putting them into one location so your computer doesn't get stressed out!
